What a great way to start the new year with something bit different!
So I got this another great recognition from Nutanix at the end of 2023 and it’s a quite cool Channel Rock Star record plaque – I really appreciate the gesture and it’s on my trophy shelf now!
But a techie might think, what is it made out of? Is there a actual song to play on a record? What could Nutanix music sound like? 🤔
It turns out that the frames can be easily opened, so no harm was done during the process! 😄
So how one can achieve what’s on the actual record?
- First we need to open up the plaque as carefully as possible.

- Next we need to setup the record player by raising the tonearm to the maximum – this is because I didn’t want to do any damage to my plaque. The record was glued to the the background so I added two RuuviTag silicone covers on the record table so I can add the plaque record on top of the silicon covers.

- Next I set the record on top of the silicone covers – just make sure that the record is centered, so the needle doesn’t hop off and the glued back cover doesn’t hit on the tonearm.

- And here is the record playing smoothly below
- So what’s on the record? Turns out that my record included a song called ‘On The Corner Of My Life’ performed by ‘Pussycat’ – totally new song to me! 😄 If I hear this song somewhere in the future, I know that it will be reminding of my plaque!

- After doing some deep discovery, I managed to pull it back together and the plaque is now where it belongs – next to my NTC trophy and Lego Citrix guy protecting them!

Disclaimer: I really don’t want to people to open their plaques, so I really don’t encourage to do the same! This is for demonstration purposes only!
